A yarn that is spun from the long and silky hair of the Angora
Extremely high-quality, fine wool made from the soft undercoat of the
cashmere goat. Cashmere yarns create a fabric that is extremely soft,
lightweight and luxurious to the touch. Because of its lightweight
qualities, cashmere is a fabric that can be worn all year round. Look
for cashmere in LOFT’s collection of sweaters and accessories.
Cotton blended with spandex that is woven in a subtle diagonal texture.
The spandex adds comfort, stretch and a refined finish to casual
bottoms. Stretch twill is available in a variety of finishes; a brushed
finish in the Fall and during transitional times of the year gives the
fabric a soft, sueded surface, while unbrushed twill for Spring and
Summer is soft to the touch but tailors crisply.
A fabric made of synthetic or natural fibers that are twisted to give a
slightly crinkled texture. Most commonly used in suitings, crepe
textures are now an important fashion message for sweaters and

Satin fabrics have a sheen on one side and are dull on the other. Satin

sharkskin is the perfect alternative to a plain solid fabric.
A lustrous and fine fiber that can be woven or knitted into a variety of
high-quality seasonless fabrics. Silk is a naturally strong fiber that
produces long-lasting, versatile clothing and accessories. LOFT is known
for its wide assortment of silk items-from sweaters to suits, bags to
blouses, as well as dresses and wraps.
A crisp, slubby textured fabric woven from silk yarn. The fabric has a

It’s a versatile fabric that can be dressed up or dressed down, so
it’s appropriate for almost any occasion.
Fine, high-quality wool that is produced from the fleece of the Merino
sheep. Wonderfully soft to the touch, Merino wool is a versatile yarn
that can be woven or knitted into a variety of Fall fabrics. LOFT most
often uses this fine Merino wool in sweater collections.
A good rule of thumb is to always read the care and content
label to determine how to care for your garment.
There may be times when the merchandise looks as
though it could be laundered, but for construction reasons, has been
designated as "Dry Clean Only."
f a label says "Dry Clean Only," it is recommended
that both parts of a two-piece outfit be dry cleaned
together, even if only the pants or the jacket needs cleaning.
Subtle changes can occur in the cleaning process,
and dry cleaning pieces together ensures that the
outfit color stays consistent.
When the care label reads "Use Mild Detergent," use
a gentle detergent meant for cold-water washing of

If care label reads "Hand Wash," as in the case of
some in silk knits, use a neutral soap. Rinse.Gently press out excess
water in towel. Don’t wring or twist. Smooth and straighten seams
and air dry fabric out of direct sunlight until slightly damp.
To iron silk, steam press wrong side while slightly damp.
If care label reads "Hand Wash," use a mild
detergent in lukewarm water.Soak the garment for several minutes; swish
gently and rinse. Be sure to eliminate all suds. Do not wring or twist.
Instead, roll garment in an absorbent towel and gently wring the towel.
Remove the garment and lie flat to dry.
Refresh wool, with the exception of knitted wool, by hanging
in a steamy bathroom.
Wool needs airing and breathing room. Hang wool garments
(other than knits) on a proper hanger in a well ventilated closet.
Wool shrinks and dulls at high temperatures. Dry clean all
wool unless it is specifically marked "Washable." Wash by
hand unless label specifically reads "Machine Washable."
In order to keep their shape, knitted woolens should be folded
flat, not put on hangers.

leather is soft and supple, it has the ability to stretch and conform
the shape of the foot without losing its elasticity. It also has the
ability to "breathe" because it contains countless pores that
